Company Information
It took 10,000 years for man to develop organic pizza-farming techniques. With today's Groupon, you can indulge in our ancestors' greatest contribution. For $10, you get $20 worth of environmentally conscious pizza and salads at Sazza. Located at the corner of South University and Orchard, Sazza churns out ambrosial discuses every day of the week for lunch and dinner. This deal is good for dine-in and curbside takeout.
Sazza's delicious mission is to bring delectability at a minimal environmental cost, starting at the top with as many organic, locally sourced ingredients as possible, all the way down to the free-range artichokes, recycled soda-can patio furniture, biodegradable cups and glassware made from wine bottles, and you-degradable pizza and salads. Sazza staffers even wear recycled tees that have been donated by customers (in exchange for a discount) and re-branded with the Sazza logo for new life in wear.
All Sazza's lovely organic pies start with thin, hand-rolled crust in the made-to-order sizes of 8" small or 12" large. The purple potato pizza is the winter highlight, with garlic oil, four-cheese blend, apples, chicken, bacon, caramelized onions, and fresh rosemary ($13 for a large), while the baked tofu (or chicken) enchilada pizza, with green enchilada sauce, mozzarella, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream ($12 for a large), makes a strong opening act. A ray of Mediterranean sunshine pierces the winter cold with the basil pesto pizza, with mozzarella, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts and brains, roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and feta cheese ($12 large). Edible Frisbee gourmands can build their own from a sprawling spread of toppings and sauces, or save your pizza craving for dessert and grab an apple cranberry walnut cobbler pie, with brown-sugar butter, streusel topping, and sweet mascarpone cheese ($11 large).
Salads are just as inventive, roaming from the caramelized beet salad with arugula, goat cheese, dried cranberries, avocado, and walnuts ($11 large) all the way to the Sunshine, essentially a whole garden dumped in a bowl with tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, sunflower seeds, and more ($11 large). All pizzas and salads come in a smaller size for a few dollars cheaper.
